New Equipment
Date Added: Wed 29 June 2011
We have invested in some fantastic new equipment throughout the company, reinforcing our commitment to offering you the very best quality and service in the marketplace.
The Durst Rhotex 320 which is installed at our Skelmersdale site allows us to offer unrivalled digital print quality onto a wide range of fabrics. In recent years we have seen an increase in the use of fabric graphics for a number of applications including banners, flags, wallcoverings and exhibition stands. There are many advantages of using soft signege including lightness of weight, ease of storage and ease of assembly. There are also huge environmental advantages. Polyester fabrics printed with Rhotex water-based dispersed dye inks are entirely environmentally friendly, recyclable and disposable. The dyes are harmless to the skin, completely odour-free and produce no VOCs. The Rhotex 320 enables quality printing up to 3.2 metres wide and the ability to print up to 70m sq per hour at 600dpi resolution in 6 colours.
At our Nottingham site we have installed a VUTEk QS2000 which combines High-Definition Print (HDP) capability with high production speeds. The QS2000 can print onto rigid and flexible substrates up to two inches (5.08cm) thick and up to 80 inches (2 metres) wide and offers stunning colour reproduction and pin-sharp text.
Our Glasgow site has recently taken delivery of a Mimaki JV5 Series inkjet printer which is giving us extremely high quality images combined with unsurpassed print speeds.
The latest additions at our Chessington site include a Zund G3 Digital Die Cutter, an Inca Onset S20 flatbed printer and a Durst Rho 500R roll to roll printer.
The Zund G3 is the most advanced digital cutter available and allows us to offer high speed cutting, routing, creasing/scoring and complex kiss-cutting on a wide range of rigid and flexible materials. This offers unlimited creative possibilities for point-of-sale displays, signage, exhibition graphics and much more.

The Inca Onset S20 (above) offers high quality, high speed output onto a wide range of substrates. New and innovative UV lamp controls mean that the S20 can deliver a variety of print finishes, from satin through to gloss, making it an extremely versatile production tool for a wide variety of end applications.

Our choice of the Durst Rho 500R (above) is explained by Peter Onyskiw, Technical Director of Service Graphics:
“It was immediately apparent that the Rho 500R offered a unique combination of performance and flexibility and represents where we want to be in terms of printer technology.
It allows us to print at 5m wide, when required, but also print three 1.6m rolls simultaneously, with three totally different print queues. The quality of print is so good that it can be used for POP material and printing the three rolls at the same time provides unrivalled productivity.
We continually strive to provide the best possible service to our customers and the flexibility of the Rho 500 helps us to service new markets as well as provide an even faster turn round for existing work”.
